Why you cannot ignore Mango Man anymore !

Dharna, Fasts, disclosures on political parties, mufflers.......that's what Aam Aadmi meant for me before February 10th this year.  Crazy, passionate, refreshing, authentic, creating a movement...one of a kind. This is what I have come to see at the Aam Aadmi office in these last four days. I went on a lark to see what is in store for me at the AAP office. Boy ! Did I get shocked ? Here I went with skepticism about working for free and I meet a bunch of passionate people from different backgrounds, men and women, young and old, quiet and boisterous, all working full time for AAP with no remuneration whatsoever. Their enthusiasm and infectious smiles and the firm conviction that it is going to work, gets to you faster than the viral infection doing rounds in Bangalore. Where else do you see people coming in and working hard with no monitoring, no hierarchy, no incentives, no rewards, no authority ! and it works beautifully and seamlessly. It does look chaotic at first glance. But look beneath the surface and one gets a hang of the method to the madness. I think the key is the 'WHY' for each of them working for AAP. The 'WHY' of AAP : swaraj / self-rule, the power to govern in the hands of the common man and therefore a corruption-free India, resonates with each and every volunteer at AAP. Once the 'WHY' is clear, it seems easy for anyone to take up any work, to make oneself useful in any way feasible to make AAP succeed in its mission. By making AAP successful, you are helping yourself too. Corruption-free India, Inflation, role of industrialists / political parties in today's state of affairs seemed like someone else's problem till this week. Now the ugliness spreading in our community is showing up with 70 mm clarity. Now its going to be difficult to shrug my role off in this scenario. In the search for my personal 'WHY', I am finding a reasonating beat with the 'WHY' defined by AAP. Infact it is bound to do so, with every Indian's 'WHY'. Because in AAP's win, you see every Indian winning too.
